Tucson's Multifamily Renaissance | TREND Report

Tucson Apartment Market

The Tucson apartment market is experiencing a renaissance with active and innovative development in the sector after a decade of underinvestment. During the housing boom of 2000 to 2008 the economics of multifamily development allowed few new developments in Tucson. Due to low apartment rental rates, high cost of land and building materials, very few multifamily developments penciled out in Tucson during the past decade. Lower land and building costs, a weak home market, higher demand for quality multifamily housing and some key rezoning actions have brought on a flurry of new construction.

How We Celebrated National Philanthropy Day

PICOR_Charitable_Foundation_Pancake_Breakfast_2012

Nothing is more rewarding to our team than granting the money we raise through our Foundation's annual pancake feed. Who would think the employees of a local firm could change lives and make a difference flipping pancakes one gorgeous autumn day each year in a midtown park in Tucson? We can't claim full credit, as it is the financial support of so many C&W | PICOR clients and friends, as well as donated labor, goods and materials from our community partners, that makes this possible. The effort had humble Kiwanis beginnings 50 years ago, carried forward by C&W | PICOR's formation of the PICOR Charitable Foundation in 1994.

PICOR Foundation Launches Quest to Raise $48K for Tucson Youth

PICOR Foundation pancake breakfast

For 32 years, the Palo Verde Kiwanis Club sponsored a fall event raising in excess of $300,000 for Tucson charities. In 1994, when the club ceased to operate, PICOR formed a foundation to enable this endeavor to continue for years to come. The 2012 event will be held October 14th in Tucson's Reid Park at Ramada #1 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm with performances by the Tucson Girls Chorus and youth Mariachi performers. Three bucks buys a full breakfast with all-you-can-eat pancakes, plus sausage and milk, with coffee donated and served by Starbucks. Of course, we're happy to take additional donations for the kids in any amount.
