Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR visited Cafe Francais during their grand opening week at their new Central Tucson location, 3855 E. Broadway Blvd., in the historic San Clemente Shopping Center. This marks the second Tucson location for this locally owned bakery. Cafe Francais is owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo, Noelle and Daniel Martinez, both Tucson natives.
Their first shop at Mission Village Plaza, 7831 E Wrightstown Rd, Suite 113, quickly earned a following for its authentic French breads, honeycombed croissants, macarons, and other pastries—all made from scratch daily using classic French techniques. “It’s a true family effort, and we put our hearts into everything we bake,” says Noelle.
The recent expansion was made possible with the support of Natalie Furrier and Greg Furrier, Retail Specialists at C&W | PICOR. For years, the Furrier family supported Cafe Francais’s first location as regular customers, building trust and a relationship long before any business deal took place. When reflecting on the experience, Noelle shared, “They believed in us when we needed it most. Their support gave us the confidence and opportunity to take this next step, and we’re so grateful for their kindness. (C&W | PICOR) cares about local businesses and goes above and beyond to help you succeed. I couldn’t recommend them more.”
Cafe Francais looks forward to meeting new customers, growing relationships, and seeing their pastries become part of people’s daily routines. Noelle adds, “Tucson can expect a convenient spot for fresh croissants, kouign-amanns, and more—made with the same care and love people know us for.” During our visit, we tried their signature Port Wine Triple Berry Brioche Bun and the Almond Twice Baked Croissant—both lived up to their reputation. The brioche bun tasted like a delicious donut filled with berries, while the almond croissant was perfectly flaky with a buttery center.
The new Broadway location is designed as a convenient stop for fresh pastries, offering outdoor seating with colorful umbrellas and a selection of grab-and-go drinks. It brings Cafe Francais’s best pastries to Central Tucson. Cafe Francais is open Thursday – Saturday 9AM – 2PM and Sunday 10AM – 3PM.
