With Thanksgiving just around the corner, people will soon come together to reflect on what matters most. This season of giving thanks is a perfect time for us at Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR to reflect on what we’re most grateful for: the ongoing impact of our annual Pancake Breakfast and the support that makes it possible year after year.
Every fall, the PICOR Charitable Foundation’s (PCF) Pancake Breakfast helps support local programs for underserved youth in Southern Arizona, especially those organizations that often receive less public funding.
The impact of these efforts ripples out to kids facing real challenges—children with serious illnesses, those in the foster system, those who struggle to receive basic needs, and much more. Through our collective giving, we help organizations provide essentials such as books, clothes, comfort items, mentorship, community, and opportunities for sports or other healthy outlets. These donations mean more kids have the support and resources they need to thrive, and a reminder that their community cares.
This year’s fundraiser, held on Sunday, October 26th at Reid Park, brought together the C&W | PICOR team, their families, and community partners for a morning focused on making a difference. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we raised $95,665. With the Burton Family Foundation’s matching program, our total reached a new record of $191,330—all of which will directly benefit youth programs, since C&W | PICOR covers every out-of-pocket cost with corporate dollars.
We are grateful for the Burton Family Foundation’s evergreen support and their dollar-for-dollar matching program, which has doubled the positive impact and made a measurable difference. A sincere thank you also goes to Rob Tomlinson, who volunteers countless hours each year, leads and motivates our team, and truly puts his heart into organizing all the details that make this event a success. Live music from multiple Tucson Girls Chorus groups and Mariachi Las Aguilitas de Davis is always a highlight—something everyone looks forward to each year.
We’d also like to thank the following organizations and individuals for donating their time or supplies:
- 1-800-Water Damage
- Alpha Phi, Beta Epsilon Chapter
- Arizona Propane
- Ashton Contracts
- BeachFleischman PC
- Jeannene Mull
- Marshall Foundation
- Penske Truck Rental

In the upcoming weeks, the PICOR Charitable Foundation will announce the selected grant recipients. Including this year, PCF has now raised $1.85 million since 1994 for at-risk youth programs in Southern Arizona. This record-setting year reminds us that when we come together we can make a real difference for the people in our community who need it most.
As we celebrate the holidays, we’re especially thankful for every client, team member, partner, and volunteer who made this possible. Your commitment gives hope and opportunity to local children, and keeps this tradition of giving going strong!
